In Luke 17:5 Jesus says you already have faith, use it, nothing is impossible.
Corrie Ten boom wrote
Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and
receives the impossible.
John 6:29 Jesus said “This is the work of God that you
believe in Him who He has sent.”
In Leo Tolstoys book Anna Karenia, the main character has
just encountered God in great joy and looks forward to sharing this with his
family. Instead, he quickly gets in a fight with his brother. The story
illustrates something fundamental in the life of faith. The alternations of joy and fear, peace and
anxiety, hope and discouragement that the human heart experiences in its
journey towards God.
Psalm 42 provides us with the psalmist’ experience with faith,
and as is often true with the psalms, stories that were shared before there was
the written word. This psalm shares the souls
struggle to find peace in the Lord, while tossed about on the sea of human
experience.
Psalm 42 speaks to the belief that you might find hope in
knowing that even when you walk mournfully your faith is with you, found when
we remember that we are already empowered by faith.
How many times have you found peace when everything was
falling apart around you, and you knew, when you had a moment to breath that it
was God who carried you through.
How many times have you said the right word, or said
nothing felt the Spirit’s hand over your mouth.
We do not get to be perfect in this life, what we are given
is the love of God to share with strangers by showing kindness in small simple
ways.
May God continue to bless you in your faith journey.
